The tropical rainforest is found on and close to the equator. The latitude is 15 degrees North and 25 degrees South of the equator, between the Tropic of Capricorn and the Tropic of Cancer. The 3 places in the world where a tropical rainforest is most likely to be found are in Central America (Amazon River Basin), Africa (Zaire Basin, West Africa, and Eastern Madagascar) and Indo-Malaysia, (West Coast of India, Assam, Southeast Asia, New Guinea, Queensland, and Australia)
